Or something else: See your doctor to see if there are any lingering issues that need addressing. Sometimes physical therapy can be helpful, or orthotic devices might be needed.

Possibly: If you did not seek treatment, it can take months for all of the pain to resolve. For now ice it and consider an otc NSAID such as aleve (naproxen). I would also wear an ankle stirrup brace or gauntlet brace for a couple of weeks. It is possible you have a ligament tear or cartilage damage do if the pain persists, see a podiatrist or orthopedist.
