What are some bodily changes after a medical abortion?

4 doctors weighed in across 2 answers

Medical abortion: The medications used have no long-term side effects. Bleeding can last up to 4 weeks but it can be as long as 8 weeks. Breast tenderness resolves in 2 weeks. Nausea resolves within 2 days. Period returns 6-8 weeks after taking the medication. The HCG hormone lowers slowly. The pregnancy test should be negative or trace positive within 2 weeks after the abortion.

There should: Be no changes in your body afterward, you may have a little extra bleeding for a while but what do you think or what are you experiencing?
