Yes: Stress, or rather increased stress because who doesn't have some stress, makes us less tolerant of chronic medical problems. Stress also adversely affects the immune system. Lack of sleep increases stress further impairing immune function. But asthma is more likely to adversely affect sleep than vice versa. If you're not sleeping well you probably need to look at your overall asthma control.

Absolutely: Asthma has many triggers- they include exercise, allergies, weather changes, emotions and viruses. Lack of sleep can make you irritable and decrease the threshold to release emotions like anger and frustration. In turn these can trigger asthma flares.

Asthma&stress: Asthma gets triggered by stresses of any kind and lack of sleep is one of them. It could also be that the breating difficulty from asthma is causing the lack of sleep. See your doc asap.
