No: Alcohol is not a normal food, even though it is high in calories. The baby gets its nourishment from you annd there is no time in life when proper nutrition is more important.

Not really, no: It's important to remember the baby will take in some or all of the substances you ingest, and alcohol damages brain cells as well as other tissues of the body. There is suggestion a small amount of alcohol won't cause a significant amount of harm, but that's asking how much micro damage are you willing to tolerate in your baby.
