The bsest meds: Are the nsaids, with Ibuprofen being the first line. You can take up to 600-800 mg four times a day if your stomach can handle it.

NSAIDS/Tylenol: Nsaids such as Motrin and aleve as well as tylenol (acetaminophen) are first line medications for arthritis. There are also over the counter topical creams that can help. If these are ineffective, then discuss with your doc. A stronger prescription, therapy or injection may be helpful.
