Dvt?: Leg or legs? One sides leg swelling is concerning for a clot - deep venous thrombosis (DVT) which requires urgent attention. Swelling and pain may also be caused by cellulitis - infection. Swelling of both legs could be a result of liver disease or lymphatic obstruction from the abdominal cancer. Visit your doctor urgently. Relief of pain would be dependent on the cause.

Anasarca: Is the name for fluid accumulation in body cavities and extremities in end stage liver failure. The liver is no longer making albumen, a protein that keeps fluid in veins, so it seeps out between tissues. Diuretics/fluid pills further deplete the fluid in vessels, and must be used gingerly.
