It's efficacy is still being debated as a stand alone predictor. Your physician should investigate and rule out the most likely malignancies for your age and family history, including early breast and oral cancer, as well as others less likely.

Canbe false positive: Too new of a test to talk about positive predictive value- would recommend f/u with md for rpt scans in 3-6 mths to ensure stability.
