My son was told by a clinic in south america he had bladder stones. in us dr did x-ray. did not see stones but blood in urine. ideas?

Other causes?: If blood in urine and symptoms and imaging studies so not suggest stones, further evaluation, usually by a urologist is indicated. Stones can be missed by xray and sonogram, depending on size and type.
