MRSA: Of course there could be complications. Depending on the medical setting, MRSA could be the prevalent type of staphylococcus bacteria found. I am sure that your clinician has already placed you on the correct antibiotic at this time. Careful followup is also in order.

Possibily: Most surperficial wound would not cause major problems, MRSA is a staphiloccal infection that is resistant to methicillin, ussually it is sensitive to vancomycin, bactrim, (sulfamethoxazole and trimethoprim) clindamycin; however, if the bacteria get into the blood stream, the lungs, the heart valves, it can be catastrophic. People can be colonized with MRSA in the nostrils, rectum, groin causing reccurent infections.
