Wegener's: Although wegener's granulomatosis with polyangiitis is incurable, five-year survival is up to 87%, as dr decaprio said. Since this is an average number, some will live longer. The treatment is immunosupression, which is life saving, but it does also have some toxicity which, unfortunately can also be fatal. Happily, there are many people who are currently living quite normal lives on treatment.
