Yes: Hallucinations can indeed occur during the most intense phases of bpd, though more often in the manic than depressed phase. These can be tereated with antipsychotics. However, the primaryu goal in treating mania is redfucing and eliminating it. In an acute state benzodiazepines are very effective with the modd stabilizers taking over the long haul. The best approach is prevention.

Mood stabilizers: Mood stabilizers lessen the intensity of mood swings from one extreme to the other. Hallucinations are typically experienced when bipolar patients are in the unmedicated extremes of mania. Therefore when properly medicated and going to therapy, the mania is controlled, and the hallucinations should decrease.
