A member asked:

What should i do about my thryoid nodule?

A doctor has provided 1 answer

May need biopsy: Most thyroid nodules are benign. However, tests are done to make sure it is not a cancer. This may involve an ultrasound-guided biopsy. A radionucleotide thyroid scan may be performed. If the nodule is one of many in a multinodular goiter, there is less concern. An endocrinologist is in the best position to guide you and help make the right decisions.
