Maybe not: Whitening strips are very weak, not nearly as strong as professionally applied products. Don't know how stained or dark your teeth are, but the strips can only do so much. See a dentist for a consult.

Maybe.: You don't say how long you've been using them. If you've been using them for 2 weeks and following the manufacturer's instructions and you have no whitening occurring, then they probably won't work. However, I have noticed time and time again that the patient doesn't realize the change that occurred because they did not record the original color of the teeth. Could this be true for you?

No: If they have not worked yet they probably will not in the future. Consider bleaching trays made by your dentist and bleaching gel from your dentist that is usually 5 to 7 times stronger than over the counter strips.

Whitening options: Of the available over-the-counter whitening available, crest white strips gives the best results. However, the results will be much better with professional whitening. Either trays and take-home whitening gel or in-office whitening followed by trays and gel.

Find out stains: If you have deep intrinsic or tetracycline stains or even stains from too much fluoride, you should check with your dentist for different options.

Very ineffective: Whitening strips are the least effective way to whiten teeth. Tray nighttime teeth whitening are the best.
