For a while: These whitening procedures last for several months, the length of time depending on your diet and home care.Also home bleaching can prolong the whitening!

Yes, if: If you only eat light colored foods and drink clear liquids! teeth are porous, and as a result, absorb the darkness from foods that cause stains. Teeth whitening solutions enter these porous surfaces and "bleach" out the dark stain. After initial whitening, eating dark foods and drinks will re-darken your teeth, then either you will home whiten or in-office whiten your teeth.

Yes if: Your teeth may retain their shade but only if you keep up with a diet free of stain causing foods, avoid tobacco use and follow up with your dentist to touch up the whitening as needed.
