Cloves - benefits: Cloves have many benefits. They can be used for dental pain, inflammation of mouth or throat, bad breath, as an expectorant and for gastrointestinal problems. The only possible negative thing i can imagine with chewing on cloves (& this is stretching it) would be biting down on one and damaging an area of weakened tooth. Clove is really pretty safe.
