Depends..: Teeth are porous and therefore darken over time due to things we do, such as consuming staining types of foods (coffee, red wine, tea, grape juice, blue berries, etc) or smoking. So these may be contributing to the current tooth color, if you smoke, this is a great reason to stop. Seeing your dentist will help as they can explain various teeth whitening options and examine and clean your teeth.

Nothing: You should always make sure you have an exam by a dentist before trying at home bleaching. That being said the home use strips aren't too bad. When you see a dentist for bleaching you are getting guidance & not just a product.(i'm not in favor of home extraction kits either. :-) ).

Consult a dentist: First, see a dentist to make sure all your necessary dental treatment has been completed and that your teeth and gums are healthy. Then discuss what can be done to give you a whiter and brighter smile. It may include some home bleaching trays for whiter teeth, or depending upon your desires and circumstances, it might include additional dental restorations.
