Antiviral: The antiviral medication tamiflu is indicated for the treatment of inflluenza a or b infection if given within 48 hours of symptom onset. This can shorten symptoms by a couple of days. Otherwise, rest, fluids, tylenol (acetaminophen) and maybe chicken soup along with time is needed.
