Options: It is important to stay well hydrated while breastfeeding. Would recommend 96 oz of fluid, esp., water, daily. There is an herbal named fenugreek that some patients report is helpful for lactation. There is also a medication, reglan, (metoclopramide) that might help but it can have some significant side effects and therefore is not used long term.

Lactation consult: Lactation consultants can be very helpful in these situations. Many hospitals will offer this service and a simple internet search should help you find someone locally.
