A member asked:

Is vasomotor rhinitis linked to anxiety at times? do ssri help with vmr? thanks

A doctor has provided 1 answer

Yes: Patients with vasomotor rhinitis often note an increase in the nasal drip when in social situations. I'm not sure of ssri's would help. I find the best treatment is ipratropium nasal spray. Two sprays every 6 hours as needed espsecially before situations which trigger the runny nose is often extremely helpful in controlling the runny nose.
