Relaxation technique: If night clenching-try to do some type of relaxation prior to going to bed as night time teeth clenching is often(but not always) a subconscious release of daily tension and stress). Try not to do work, or read an intense story or even watch the news before going to bed because that additional stress can set off your clenching episodes. Also, see a dentist for a custom made mouth guard

Go online!: Amazon sells "boil and bite" mouthguards you can have shipped next day that you can make yourself! or, your local pharmacy sells them as well. If you can medically, taking 400mg of Ibuprofen before bed is a fantastic anti-inflammatory to help prevent morning jaw/mouth pain. Good luck!

Muscle relaxant: If you can get a prescription for Flexeril (cyclobenzaprine hcl) or a similar muscle relaxant it can help with your clenching problem until you have access to a professionally fitted night guard.
