You're never too old: A full 1/3 of all orthodontic patients today are adults. A qualified orthodontist will work with your family dentist to assure the best possible platform on which to do restorative treatment. Braces straighten teeth so that they not only look better, but are easier to care for, have better bone support, and have less wear.

Good question: No, one is never too old. They may not think it of a long term value, and it may not add as much to the quality of life as with young folks, but yes they can get braces. The only limiting factor for any age is whether or not the teeth, bone and gums are healthy enough.

No: Healthy teeth (with healthy gums) will move at any age. They will probably move slower the older you are because your body's basic physiology tends to slow along with aging.

Not really: Seeking an opinion from your licensed orthodontic specialist would be the best way to determine how your teeth can be improved. 60s, 70s, 80s - teeth can be moved; the metabolism is slightly slower with age, so tooth movement may be just slightly slower, but it's done all the time. We have treated many patients in their 70s and 80s.
