Depends..: Teeth are porous and therefore darken over time due to things we do, such as consuming staining types of foods (coffee, red wine, tea, grape juice, blue berries, etc) or smoking. So these may be contributing to the current tooth color, if you smoke, this is a great reason to stop. Seeing your dentist will help as they can explain various teeth whitening options and examine and clean your teeth.

Range of options: It will depend on the type of staining you have, and how much of an improvement you are looking for. Over the counter strips are the cheapest option but will have slow and limited results. At home bleaching trays professionally made will provide a stronger peroxide but needs to be done regularly. In office bleaching is usually the least amount of work for the patient. Best of luck!
