Please see below: It might be an entrapment of the twig of the peripheral nerve in the area of trauma. Consider imaging of the old brake. In case if the prior trauma is at the arm or leg, you might benefit from dedicated electrodiagnostic (ncs/emg) study of the peripheral nerve of interest at the office of your local neurologist.
