Relax: When i was 14 i had ingrown toenails on both sides of both big toes. I was seen by an excellent podiatrist who fixed the toenails and i've never had a problem since. It was painful recovery but it beat having the ingrown toenails.

Simple procedure: There are many simple "partial nail removal" procedures that are non-painful and can be done for you in only a few minutes. The procedure selected by your podiatrist is based on what part of the nail is ingrown. Most are easy removals with very little pain.
