Depends. : I'm not sure how fresh or old the wound is. A chronic scar that is pink and raised could be a keloid, a form of hypertrophic scar. If it's a reasonably new wound, it could be developing granulation tissue, a heaped, granular appearing tissue. This is primarily fibroblasts and capillaries, and can easily bleed if scratched. I suggest you see your surgeon for clarification. Good luck.

Could be scar: Surgical wounds change the skin and the pink can be scar tissue. See your surgeon if you are painful or swollen along with the pink or red color.
