Exercise smartly.: Build muscle with weight training. More & toned muscle burns more calories/hr. Do interval aerobic training 2-3 times/week. You will increase metabolism for hours afterward. The interval training should be 30minutes 3x/week or 40-45 minutes twice a week. While some studies suggest that cardiovascular exercise may stimulate the metabolism for as much as 48 hours after the exercise, it may be much less time. Both are best in combination. As well, eating a small healthy meal of lean protein and complex carbs every 2-3 hours speeds the metabolism.
