Muscle relaxant: Lot of your pain may be due to acute spasm. Which Robaxin (methocarbamol) treats. Not good to keep taking continuously for long period. Try pain management injection. If all fails spinal fusion may be good option. Please see a spine surgeon.

It may be that your: Main symptom is muscular and that medication is a muscle relaxant.
