What are the main causes of botched spinal fusions?

A doctor has provided 1 answer

Usually the wrong : Patient being operated on for the wrong diagnosis by the wrong surgeon. Fusion surgery has very select criteria and best outcomes also with non smokers , non diabetics, not obese patients and with no bone density loss in good medical condition with reasonable expectations. Even the type of fusion may affect outcome.
