Salt water: Salt water is a good healing rinse for gum inflammation, post-surgery, and mouth sores. I would recommend 1 tablespoon in 1/2 cup of hot water then roll it in mouth for 30 seconds then spit. However salt water will not help a toothache unless it is caused by the gums.
