A member asked:

Is it possible for children whose parents have sickle cell anemia to not get it? what are the odds?

A doctor has provided 1 answer

Depends on situation: If both really have sickle cell anemia, the kids they have together will all have sickle cell. If you mean they both carry a trait, they can have normal, trait or sickle cell kids.
