A member asked:

Why does sepsis show up as histotoxic hypoxia? are they the same thing?

A doctor has provided 1 answer

Unfamiliar term: Sepsis can cause hypoxia; indeed this is common. I am unfamiliar with the term histotoxic which could mean cellular death from lack of oxygen, but it's not a term we use in medicine.
