I fell on my knee cap a week ago but instead of it getting better it has gotten worse now from my me down it is numb. what could be wrong?

Knee injury: First you outo get an xray, make sure you don't have a fracture. Swelling in itself may put some pressure on the nerves and give some parasthesias in the lower legs. If it doesn't go away with elevation and ice then check with your dr.

Let me try to help: It sound to me you had an injury to the proneal nerve at the level of the knee that cause pain and numbness. Go and check it out with orthopedic surgeon..
