Exam necessary: In order to know what is going on with your eyesight, you will need an exam by an ophthalmologist to evaluate your eyes. Vision can change throughout your life. Sometimes it is as simple as a pair of glasses to help you focus clearly at far and near, other times it may be a disease that is affecting the way your eyes are functioning, such as cataracts, glaucoma, diabetes or hypertension.

Presbyopia normal: This is normal. As we get older we gradually lose our ability to focus on things closer to us. Our "near vision"- this loss is called presbyopia. It is corrected by adding a "close up" refraction to your glasses- for reading called "an add." another issue is cataract development. This is noted by your doctor as you may start to get more glare.

See doctor: You should see an eye care specialist. It could be as simple as a change or need for glasses or it could be do cataracts, glaucoma, or macular degeneration (or many other things).
