Cipralex & Valerian: Cipralex is escitalopram (or Lexapro in the us). There are no direct interactions between it and valerian. Some studies do support valerian's effectiveness in insomnia; others do not (compared to benzodiazepines). You may need to use this regularly for up to 2 weeks to note effectiveness. Also, there are some cases of liver toxicity with long-term use -- these generally resolve with d/cing.

Interaction checker: You can use an interaction checker when you have questions about drug interactions with herbal or natural medications. Here is one example: http://naturaldatabase.therapeuticresearch.com/nd/search.aspx?s=nd&pt=7
