See your doctor!: This can only be diagnosed by an exam. First of all, an infection must be excluded and some infections can become life-threatening, if caused by certain types of bacteria. Severe pain (often with fever) can be a sign of infection. Also, you did not mention the location of the cyst or abscess but a swelling that causes burning or weakness might be compressing a nerve. So have this looked at asap!
