Inflammatory: Psoriasis is an inflammatory condition in which the skin becomes red, irritated, and scaly. It can be itchy, or even uncomfortable. Many psoriasis sufferers experience significant social impact (embarrassed to wear short sleeves/pants or to swim). A third or more of people with the skin disease also develop joint inflammation. Many treatments are available.
