If i ignore eye floaters, will they go away on their own?

No: Floaters may wax and wane but never go away entirely. New floaters should prompt you to make an appointment with an ophthalmologist.

Sometimes: Yes. I have seen floaters that disappeared in patients who i told to come back in six months. Some floaters do persist and create a nuisance. Thankfully, most don't.
