Lutes for endurance: Unless you are working out for more than an hour, depending on the intensity, it is unlikely that you need more than water. Take caution with sports drinks- if too concentrated, they can dehydrate you. Endurance events that last several hours or more are appropriate for electrolyte replacement.

Not unless: You are running 5ks or longer races. Regular 1- hr workouts at the gym- h2o! if you are a male over 65, hold off or drink less, and catch up after. Unless you feel it's enough exercise to drive to the gym and walk in and out of therms room...
