Watch for infection: Any piercing can cause infection in the skin and sometimes in your blood. Allergy to the piercing material is another risk.

Piercing care: New piercings are usually cleaned twice a day. Do not twist jewelry / post. Saturate gauze w saline solution (pinch of sea salt in warm water), place on piercing & allow it to gently drip into the piercing. Don't recommend use of alcohol or Hydrogen Peroxide to clean piercings as they may cause the surrounding skin to dry out excessively.
