Yes.: Diseases of the spine can cause pain in the back, neck, arms, legs, chest and abdomen. They may also cause numbness, tingling, shortness of breath, urinary and bowel problems. Most of these problems are the result of the spinal structures impinging on nerves coming off the spinal cord.
