A member asked:

Why would my dr. only prescribe provera (medroxyprogesterone) and not clomid if i want to get pregnant?

First Step: It may be that you are not cycling regularly. Provera (medroxyprogesterone) is commonly used to induce a period when one hasn't come on its own. Clomid is used on specific cycle days; in order to start this therapy you have to determine cycle day one by inducing a menstrual period.
