Possible: But mri's are pretty amazing machines..Especially the new tesla 3.0 units. Was it with or without contrast or both?Its also very reader (radiologist) dependent.

Yes: This can happen - additional imaging techniques can be used - this includes adding infusion or dye studies. Also needle guided asoiration can be used to supplement diagnostic testing.
