No: Congenital heart disease is not contagious. However;there is some gene factors involved in the process. Each pregnancy in a normal population has <1% risk of any form of congenital heart disease but after one, the risk of a second baby with any form of chd increases to 2-6%.If the mother or father has a chd then these risks increase.

Possible to pass on: Congenital heart disease is not infectious per se. There are some infections which can cause heart defects in the fetuses of pregnant women though. Also, some forms of CHD are heritable, which means that newborns from these couples have a higher risk of being born with CHD. Recommend discussing this with your doctor to understand your specific situation and risks.
