I took haldol (haloperidol) for 2 months, i stopped taking it 6 days ago, and im still having difficulty sleeping, akathisia how much time after this stop?

See a psychiatrist.: There are other medications that may be effective and more tolerable for you. Some of your complaints may be side effects that can be managed with the help of a psychiatrist.

Why given meds? : Less likely that Haldol (haloperidol) would be causing akathesia after stopping for six days. Have you bee nsuffering from insomnia to start with? Also ask yourself a question why were you given Haldol (haloperidol) in the first place? Do not underestimate the reason why? It is all the more important to achieve relief that seek discontinuation.
