Swollen node/gland: Lymph nodes are part of chains connected by lymph vessels. Infection/immune problems along a chain cause nodes to become inflamed/enlarged. Underarm nodes are connected to breast nodes so breast infection/tumors (sometimes cancer) and can react. Hidradenitis suppurtiva is a disorder of apocrine (sweat) glands causing underarm inflammation and pain. Get an exam to for diagnosis and treatment.
