Very small indeed: Generally in medical terms, smaller than microscopic or nanoscopic.

Picoscopes are : Digital oscilloscopes, most of which attach to computers by usb ports for detecting/diagnosing diseases in blood, serum, urine, & cells. They detect nucleic acids, proteins, carbohydrates & organic/inorganic molecules. There are defined patterns of changes in structure, function & interactions of the molecules & cells being studied that are associated with known disease processes. Pretty fancy.

Picoscopic: Is a smaller resolution than both microscopic & nanoscopic. It is derived from the italian word piccolo, meaning small.
