Hi, does a 31.9 bmi mean one looks obese or is just medically obese. i'm a stocky build (5'8 and 207 lbs) and want to lose around 25 lbs. thank you.

The farther below 40 inches it is, the less likely you are to suffer obesity related diseases. Of course the fact you take prednisone (are you chronically on it?), the more likely obesity and obesity related diseases. Weight loss is tough on prednisone. Good luck!
