Pill Risk/benefit: Pills can be life-saving and can prevent diseases that will cause you problems. They also can have side effects that cause trouble. You should know why you are taking each pill. It should work for what you want it to and shouldn't cause more trouble than it's worth. If the benefit isn't worth it to you, you should discuss discontinuing it with your doctor.
