Manifold: However, it is safer to be on the bcp than be pregnant when you list the risks of both. Some of which are blood clots in your legs, strokes, high blood pressure etc.

Contraceptives: If you are talking about oral contraceptives, they can be linked to an increased risk of dvt, especially in women over 35 that smoke. They can also affect high blood pressure in some women. There are also many health benefits.
