I have diabetes and frequently have anxiety attacks. could my sugar levels be affecting that?

Hypoglycermia: Yes. Excessive drops in blood sugar can cause attacks of hypoglycemia (low blood sugar) that can cause anxiety, shaking, hunger, fainting or blackouts. You should discuss this with your doctor immediately to modify your diabetic program.

Absolutely: Do you check your blood sugar levels with fingersticks? Can you notice if they are low during panic times? Does the anxiety go away if you drink some orange juice? If so, it sounds like hypoglycemia or low blood sugar.
